Sunnyvale Singers: Join Us!
Rehearsals take place on Tuesdays at 7:15 pm; we are currently meeting in the St. Jude Room at St. Simon's Catholic Church, 1860 Grant Road Los Altos (we are not connected to the church; we just meet there). Anyone is welcome to join the choir. There are no formal auditions to join. We meet from September through mid-December and from January through mid-May. We do not meet during the Summer.

Costs
Although the City of Sunnyvale Parks and Recreation supports the choir by providing the rehearsal space, the city does not fund the choir. The choir meets their budget through donations from members, local businesses, and friends of the choir.
Membership: Membership dues are by donation; although we suggest a basic donation of $55, we do not exclude anyone because of inability to contribute. Many of our members contribute more than that amount, since we depend on contributions to support our music.
Music: All members are required to pay a music deposit of $20.00 upon joining, refundable upon request when you leave the choir and return all music. Music must be returned by the third week of the following semester or you will lose your deposit.
Fundraisers: Choir members are asked to participate in fundraising efforts throughout the year. Find out about available opportunities.
Costume
The choir has a dress code for both formal and informal concerts.
Formal Concert Dress
Note: Our concert dress continues to change. Photographs on this site show several forms of dress. Rules below describe the newest dress code.
Women: matching colored tops are available through the choir for a minimal cleaning charge; they are worn with black pants or slacks.
Men wear black tux, with coordinated tie and cummerbund. The tie and cummerbund are ordered through the choir.
Informal Concert Dress
Informal concert dress is determined according to venue.
Rehearsals
The Singers rehearse Tuesday nights from 7:30 to 9:45, currently at the Sunnyvale Church of the Nazarene, 636 W. Fremont Avenue in Sunnyvale.
Rehearsals are held from September to June, with a break for summer vacation. Members are expected to attend all rehearsals and may not be able to perform with us if they cannot attend regularly. Please check our notes about rehearsal etiquette.
